- Funeral services for long time Orioles umpire's assistant Ernie Tyler were yesterday. If you've ever seen an O's game, Ernie was the old guy who could often be seen on broadcasts running out to the plate to refresh the home plate ump's stock of baseballs. ~ Have discovered a new (to me!) writer that I like! This happens so infrequently as to be quite noteworthy. It's Patricia Briggs, a fantasy writer out of the NorthWest. Took my dad to the O's game tonight, and they actually WON. It's remarkable. I kid you not, guys - it has been more than four years since my dad saw a win at Camden Yards, and it's not for lack of my dragging him down there. I'm so happy! 1. You know, I'm just gonna say it: I hated last night's Glee. That's right, I didn't like the Madonna episode of Glee. Over the top, overhyped, overproduced.... Actually, between this week and last week, I'm pretty over Glee Season 1.5 as a whole. (Although, okay, I will admit I loved Mercedes and Kurt ( spoilers? )
